Twenty-Two Years Ago Today

Posted by Bruce Marson on Sep 11, 2023 6:00:00 AM

On September 11, 2001, EES lost a good client. We had the control system on the central chilled water plant at the World Trade Center. EES was scheduled for service at the site that day, but was postponed due to a hang-up on the purchase order, fortunately our visit was re-scheduled, to never. We knew many of the operators, some of whom stayed at their posts when the building went down.

Rejuvenating Garage CO Safety Systems

Posted by Daniel F Luna, P. E. on Mar 24, 2023 1:59:49 PM

It has become common practice to build underground or under-building parking lots for facilities. Each structure requires a CO monitoring system that jumps in to action when the level of CO gas becomes too high. Every one of these systems requires periodic (semi-annual) calibration and testing to protect the patrons and the building owners.

EES Helps to Save the Planet Using Energy Savings Initiatives, Reducing Carbon Emissions from Building Management Systems

Posted by Pat Miller on Sep 25, 2020 8:04:38 AM

We recently challenged ourselves to quantify how many tons of carbon dioxide EES has prevented from being released into the atmosphere on our clients’ behalf, thus lowering their carbon footprints. Our conservative estimate is that our projects are saving more than 3 ½ tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) every hour! We have optimized and automated over 100,000 tons of refrigeration since we started in April 1976.
